You
have booked the perfect act for your event. The money has been
spent, the stage is set, the lights come up..... the lights come
up..... and nothing. Your speaker or act, has failed to show up.
What are you to do?
Well, send in some hapless manager
to cover for the act. Never mind that he has no idea what he is doing.
To make matters worse the crew does everything in their power to
make it even more difficult for the poor man. Fire, juggling, eating
deodorant, Dana attempts anything, to make the show work. The unique
premise promises hilarious results that will leave your whole room
laughing.
Before the event, Dana acts as either
a convention manager of the room, or even as one of your staff, wearing
the name tags and mingling with the other members of your staff and
audience. They have no idea he is a ringer.
But don't think that he is really the
oaf he plays, he truly has some impressive performing roots.
Dana has a B.A. in Cinema & Photography from
Southern Illinois University at Carbondale and did his graduate work
at the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus Clown College
(Class of `83). After graduating from Clown College, Dana was one
twelve students offered contracts with The Greatest Show On Earth.
While with Ringling Bros., Dana appeared on NBC's
Today Show, CBS This Morning, ABC's Good Morning America, Entertainment
Tonight, and CNN's Showbiz Today. He has also been featured in
such diverse publications as Newsweek, People, The Washington Post,
The Atlanta Journal Constitution and The New York Post.
After retiring' from life
on the road, Dana became CottonTop the official mascot
of Circus Circus Casino Tunica. In 1998 he traded in one funny
looking suit for another and became the Showroom Manager of the
Millennium Theatre where he developed his act for the magic show
that was currently running in the venue.
The results are hilarious and
work well in conjunction with another act or by itself.
